RESIDENT EVIL: WELCOME TO RACCOON CITY
Watchable. A decent make: first omens appear, next comes tension. There are 5 survivors and a time countdown. Clues are given at some points like in a game - after all the film's based on one. As usual in such stories, some of the protagonists are meant to become cannon fodder and some to survive the game. So you get e.g. police chief - selfish but smart or a rookie. Trigger-happy police play a part too, like in all monster movies. With Clara Scodelario and Avan Jogia leading the cast, both good-looking and acting well, it's fun to follow the story. Visuals often look like copied from "Venom", "King Kong", "Alien", "Chucky" and the character wearing rags from "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark". In the mid-credit Wesker's brought back to life by Ada Wong. About the best movie in the series I've never taken to.
