DE CLUB VAN LELIJKE KINDEREN (THE CLUB OF UGLY CHILDREN)
Watchable. This Dutch sci-fi flick is social-political fiction. The set-up is impressive both as a vision of a society and visually where the whole set and costume design represent order. The plot, however, is based on running and chasing. It's well-acted, especially by lead Sam Huismann as Paul, yet pretty standard after a while. Surrounding sound means it's worth seeing at the cinema.
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS
Watchable. The animation is loosely based on Jules Verne's classic novel: only 80 days and the bet remain. The rest is: animals and invented lands resembling real ones. The main characters have completely different personalities and motivations than the original ones. I was mostly spotting the differences since the plot is quite average.

LA FORET DE DJIBRIL
Watchable. 40-minute-long yet meandering a story from Burkina Faso. Scarcity of water leads to conflicts, young workers abuse drugs in gold mines, cons take place, hostile or indifferent people, litter on the ground. A bleak picture. The finale brings hope, yet doesn't explain where the water comes from. An environmental non-documentary. Depressing on the whole.
