HONEYGIVER AMONG THE DOGS
Recommended. Bhutan is a country where no foreign productions are released due to a lack of interest. If "Honeygiver Among the Dogs" is representative of the country, they don't need any imported rubbish. The movie is an enchanting, full of Buddhist values... detective story. Masterfully scripted, perfectly enacted, filled with the beauty of Bhutanese nature. Very atmospheric due to local music and awe-inspiring cinematography. Gripping and captivating.

Watchable. A very heart-warming tale of a small Hassidic community where marriage is every person's religious duty and a way of living. The world's a bit hermetic and questions of why and how kept popping up in my head but its obscurity doesn't impair understanding the whole. It's just delightful to see how subtly the love develops and how the community members support each other. The music's pleasant to the ear too.
